A Girl Passing By
She doesn’t see me,
as her blue eyes shine
in October sun.
Stranger’s shadows
pacing pavements.
The fine rain stains
as her hair shifts,
fleet in daylight.
The footfalls elapse
blue bright drizzle.
In glint wind
the road’s grime grinds.
Through my mind
in space and time
blind siren whines.
Her hair shifts soft
in oily rainbows
staining raindrops,
taxi’s tail-lights,
broken daylight.
Past steely windows
spindrift ghosts shift.
East and west drift
on blind mile street.
Commuter’s boots –
a girl passing by.
She doesn’t see me,
as her blue eyes shine.
